This station, a U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey standard bench mark disk, is located in Berkeley Township, NJ, north from Bayville. It is set in the south end of the west banister of a concrete bridge crossing Mill Creek, on U.S. Route 9:

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1964
2.2 MI NW FROM BAYVILLE.
ABOUT 2.25 MILES NORTH AND NORTHWEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 9 FROM
THE POST OFFICE AT BAYVILLE, 0.85 MILE NORTHWEST OF BAYVILLE SCHOOL,
SET IN TOP OF CONCRETE BASE OF CONCRETE BANISTER OVER THE
SOUTHWEST END OF THE SOUTHEAST ABUTMENT OF A 14-FOOT BRIDGE OVER
MILL CREEK, 20.0 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE
HIGHWAY, 19 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHEAST END OF THE SOUTHWEST
CONCRETE BANISTER AND ABOUT 0.5 FOOT ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE
HIGHWAY. NOTE-- DISK NOT LEVEL, THE SOUTHWEST EDGE OF THE DISK IS
THE HIGHEST. MARK MAY ALSO BE REACHED BY GOING 1.45 MILES
SOUTHEAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 166 AND U.S. HIGHWAY 9 FROM THE
FIRE HOUSE AND CITY HALL AT BEACHWOOD.
ADD-THE BRIDGE STRUCTURE NUMBER IS
1502-160 AT MILEPOST 88.25. A STEEL GUIDE RAIL IS ATTACHED TO THE
BRIDGE, THE DISK IS BETWEEN THE GUIDE RAIL AND THE CONCRETE
BALUSTRADE.
THE ELEVATION WAS ESTABLISHED ON THE DATUM POINT, AS THE DISK IS
SLANTED DOWN TOWARDS THE ROADWAY.

Note that the Bayville Post Office is now a fence company; the Post Office moved to a new location since the original description. Using the school as a reference point is a better choice, if you're not familiar with the area.

The disk is very easy to spot, it is in plain view. When visiting this mark, beware of traffic, this is a heavily traveled roadway.

This station is loggable on both this site and Geocaching as well. When visiting this station, please consider logging on both sites. Thank you.
