In the churchyard is its cemetery, containing at least 131 interments, according to Find A Grave, who, strangely, failed to list Sophia Burns, Anna Burns, Catherine (Mitchell) Burns and John Burns, the four people buried under this headstone. Their headstone is just off the northeast corner of the church. The headstone was made as a broken column, we believe, for Sophia, as she died at the age of 38, while John lived to be 59, Catherine 62 and Anna 73.

John M(oore) Burns and Sophia would seem to be the children of John and Anna and Catherine the wife of John M.

Anna Moore was born July 12, 1818 in At sea on board "Jesse", and died February 3, 1892 in Linden, Cumberland Co., N.S.. She married John Burns January 26, 1837 in Reformed Presbyterian Church Goose River, Cumberland Co., N.S., son of James Burns and Margaret Angus. He was born 1816 in Groomsport, County Down, Ireland, and died June 23, 1888 in Linden, Cumberland Co., N.S.

John Moore Burns, born June 9, 1846 in Shinimicas, Cumberland Co., N.S.; died March 4, 1906. He married Catherine Mitchell December 24, 1884 in Rewick Presbyterian Church, Linden, Cumberland Co., N.S.; [She was] born December 7, 1862 in Linden, Cumberland Co. N.S.; died June 10, 1935 in Truro, Colchester Co., N.S.

[The headstone has a death year for Catherine of 1934.]

Sophia Burns, born 1852; died June 8, 1890.
