Mid 19th century cast iron milepost painted white, with raised black lettering. A triangular post, stopped below top plate. Inscribed: 'SHEPSHED PARISH, REMPSTONE 8 MILES, ASHBY-DE-LA-ZOUCH 8 MILES'. On stop is a small oval plaque inscribed: 'WOOTTON BROS., IRON WORKS, COALVILLE'.
