About 200 metres east on the driveway into the observatory and directly south of the west end of the track for the synthesis array of seven 8.5 metre parabolic antennas, one will see this benchmark's monument 65 metres south of the driveway. At one time an aluminum tripod stood over it, but the bases of the legs corroded, the tripod was toppled by the wind and now lays beside the concrete monument.
