The Grassland Cemetery is located about 3 miles south of the US 380, and about 1 mile south of the tiny community of Grassland, in Lynn County west of Tahoka TX.
Despite its name it is am immaculately kept "scraped earth" cemetery, where no grass grows. Scraping the earth or decoratinmg graves with shells is a Deep-South burial tradition that may have come from Africa: (
