Magnificent statue of Queen Victoria enthroned in front of the Ontario Legislature at Queen's park in Toronto. The Queen was Head of State for Canada from 1837 until her death in 1901.
The bronze sculpture was originally unveiled in May, 1903. It received a full refurbishment to its original bronze lustre just prior to the 2015 Pan-Am Games held in Toronto.
the granite base features the Queen's Royal Cipher on the front (VR - Victoria Regina), and two bronze frescoes - one depicting the Queen's first parliamentary session at Kensington in 1837 the other after her death in 1901.
