DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 (CAA) STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE BASE OF THE T. L. HERBERT RADIO TRANSMISSION TOWER. IT IS LOCATED ON THE SUMMIT OF A PROMINENT KNOLL ABOUT 2-1/2 MILES WEST OF THE CENTER OF NASHVILLE, ABOUT 0.15 MILE NORTH OF CHARLOTTE ROAD AND JUST WEST OF 33RD. STREET WHERE IT COMES TO A DEAD END.

IT IS A 4-LEGGED STEEL STUCTURE PAINTED ALTERNATELY RED AND WHITE AND HAS AN OVER-ALL HEIGHT OF 145.0 FEET. A TRAVERSE CONNECTION WAS MADE TO TRAVERSE STATION HERBERT, DISTANCE BEING 16.09 FEET, 4.906 METERS EAST-SOUTHEAST OF HERBERT.
