The Barwon Heads War Memorial was moved to the present location earlier this year (2015) in preperation for the ANZAC Centenary. Previously it was sited outside the local RSL hall in Grove St.

There are 3 plaques, one listing the names of the serving personeland the 2 below :- "Pass not this stone in sorrow, but in pride and may you live as nobly as they died 11th November 1991 " "In Memory of those who gave their lives World War 1 1914 - 1918 World War 2 1939 - 1945 Korean War Vietnam Campaign Malayan Campaign and all other conflicts LEST WE FORGET "
