The "Dachsteinseilbahn", today also named "Dachstein Welterbe Seilbahn", explore the northern Dachstein mountain area from the town Obertraun, Upper Austria.

The Air lift is split up in three sections,
I - Valley station to Schönbergalm
II - Schönbergalm to Krippenstein
III - Gjaidalm to Krippenstein

In Winter it is mostly used to transport people for Alpine Skiing and in summer mostly for hiking, climbing and visiting the Dachstein Ice Cave and the Mammouth Cave.
