The Liverpool, NY bicentennial time capsule is buried beneath a millstone in which is set a bronze plaque. The millstone is dressed with the pattern known as the "Spanish Cross." An inscription on the plaque describes the purpose and the contents: The plaque is inscribed:
BENEATH THIS STONE IN THE CENTER OF THE VILLAGE OF LIVERPOOL
IS BURIED OUR BICENTENNIAL CAPSULE TO BE OPENED
JULY 4, 2076
IN THE CAPSULE ARE PLACED THE RECORDS OF THE
BICENTENNIAL YEAR OF 1976 TOGETHER WITH OTHER
