Graphic designer Tom Pappalardo created this huge mural on in June 2008. The mural spells out EASTHAMPTON MASSACHUSETTS. The E takes up the entire first bay of this two story building. On the upper level above and between the windows AHAMPTON is spelled out by placing an A around the 2nd window, an S in the space between the 2nd and 3nd window, a TH around the 3rd window, AM is painted vertically between the 3rd and 4th windows, and TON is vertically at the end of the building. MASSACHUSETTS i spelled out below the windows of the last three bays on the side of the building.
A sign next to the mural is inscribed:
