My first attempt was from the North, beside the D1.9 / T1.9 Challenge cache, but I was able to get to the trig from the west through a dairy farmer's property (with permission). However I believe it is possible to also get to the trig from the Lion's Bucketts Scenic Walk trail. For information on that, go to "Bucketts Scenic Walk". That cache is rated Terrain T4.
Care needs to be taken. Experience at remote rock scrambling is required.
Believe it or not, the dairy's dog followed me all the way to the trig, while I had to tie my 14 year old cocker spaniel up to a tree about 20m below the top.
The trig is a steel post with vanes, and that time there was an American flag tied to the post.
