The Industrial Arts Building, constructed between 1950 and 1952 at a cost of $52,200, is reminiscent of Wright's Taliesin West drafting studios. Why "Industrial Arts Building"? The college once offered an extensive course selection in the industrial arts and home economics, and this beautiful building was home to those programs. These days, it houses psychology, history and political science, sociology, criminology, and foreign languages programs and classes, and the college testing office.
The building was dedicated as the Lucius Pond Ordway Building in 1956, and is best known by that name: Ordway.
Visitors are welcome on the campus. Please park in marked visitor parking, or along Johnson Avenue, on the west side of campus. Walking tour brochures with maps are available here:

The Florida Southern College Architectural District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
