The courthouse, grounds, and the surrounding square are paradise for anybody with a camera. The benchmark may be slightly obscured by bushes near the door, but it is easy to spot. Be on the lookout for the Texas Historical Marker for the Somervell County Courthouse. The stairs to the east entrance are visible, and the benchmark is between the bushes and a railing for the steps, on the same side as the Texas Historical Marker.
