The parish church of Owermoigne is dedicated to St. Michael's and stands at the heart of the small village set in an almost triangular shape.

"This bench mark was used during the First primary levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 165.5020 feet [50.4450 metres] above mean sea level (Liverpool datum). It was included as a side level on the Exeter to Southampton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Owre Moyne Church. Bolt in South-west angle ; 2.84 ft. above surface.

This bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales."
