I found no information on J. A. Shuttleworth.
This 25 foot dark grey granite obelisk on a light grey plinth is in the left side back of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery located at 1501 N Missouri 7 Hwy. The Obelisk is a Memorial to two generations of Shuttleworths.
The front text reads:
Dr. J. A. Shuttleworth
Born May 18, 1808,
Died Feb. 2, 1901.
In Thee Oh Lord do I put my Trust.
Text on Right Side:
Thomas Ann Shuttleworth
Born Aug. 13, 1839,
Died June 24, 1894.
Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, that they may rest from their labours, and their work not follow them.
