Ms. Perkins is buried in the Perkins family plot in Cottonwood Cemetery, in rural Wise County, TX. Her modern, red granite headstone, with accompanying vase, contrasts with the older curbing around the plot, and it has a set of praying hands bathed in light from above. The inscription on her headstone is simple:
