This Friendship Arch is located in what is locally known as the 'Lion's Fishing Hole'.

This area on the south bank of the Thames River just west of Dorchester on Hamilton Road has been a local fishing hole for well over 55 years.
The area has, in the past 15 years or so been adopted by the local Lion's Club. The club has developed an off road parking area, planted trees and placed picnic tables in the area.
A hiking trail follows the river eastward from here towards the Mill Pond. The trail extends to the south and encircles the Mill Pond allowing for a nice hike.
