There are three trees and a bench dedicated to citizens of Milton Keynes in this quiet corner of Campbell Park just off the Skeldon Gate roundabout on Silbury Boulevard. The one dedicated to Patrick M.McNamara is a Flowering Cherry and the dedication plaque simply reads:-
                  in loving
                   memory
                     of
                  Patrick M
                  McNamara
                  1948-1994
The Flowering Cherry, Prunus sp, is probably native to the Himalayas, but currently it is widely found especially in the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere, including Europe, West Siberia, South Korea, China, Japan, United States, etc. From the colour and appearance of the bark this is most probably a Tibetan Cherry.
Location of the tree: Campbell Park, north side, off Skeldon Gate roundabout.

Type of tree: Flowering cherry.
