Constructed in the early part of the 20th century during the development of Vernon Hill. The area was initially an Irish and to a lesser extent Swedish. By the 1920's Polish families began moving into the area. The McGuiness decker was built in 1908 by Patrick McGuiness as an income producing property. Mr McGuiness was a plumber by trade.
