The Anderson residence is one of the earliest 3 decker buildings built on Vernon Hill. Many of the residents were employed at the Washburn and Moen South Works or in the Quinsigamond Works, both of which were steel wire mills. Ludwig Anderson was the first owner and was a grocer.
