According to the "Guinness Book of World Records" the Guptill Arena is the world's largest indoor roller skating rink. The summer hours are Friday and Saturday nights only but that is when casual recreation roller skating rinks are most busy at any time of the year. This facility also hosts special events such as dances in the 'tween dance club, Secrets. If guests are not satisfied at the snack bar inside the arena, next door to the roller rink is the always busy Coney Express.
Charles Guptill (1909-1974) organized construction of the arena beginning in 1946. The facility opened for business 14 February 1951.
