This dated marker mimics the one across the street but has a year that is much younger - too young to have been placed by the Boston Wharf Company.

In Boston, along Farnsworth Street, is this dated marker on a brick parking garage.
The building is in the Seaport District on the east side of the road. The entrance is also from Farnsworth. The marker is on the second floor, and nearly over an entrance. There is a second one down the street at the same height.
The marker is a circular copper feature with the following:
"B.W.Co.
.1987."
B.W.Co is the initials for the Boston Wharf Company, which used to have buildings all along the Fort Point Channel and the Fan Pier area. Many of these building were warehouses. The company existed in the 1800s and early 1900s. The area has since been remade into artist lofts, start-up and small enterprises, and museums. Wikipedia has an article about this area.
