This monument is dedicated to 45th Tennessee Infantry Regiment in recognition of their service during the Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. This is one of two markers to the 45 Tennessee Infantry on the battlefield. It marks their location at 11:30 am on Sept. 20, 1863.

Short Physical Description

1'6" wide x 1' deep x 3' high, the marker is a rectangular block of smooth-faced Tennesse gray marble inscribed on the front. Marks the unit's position on September 20, 1863, at 11:30 a.m.
