If you're ever staying at Lake of the Woods Resort, either camping, staying in one of the many cabins or own a cabin/house by the lake, there is a fireworks display every 4th of July. It begins at 10 p.m. and there is a boat parade that begins about an hour and a half before the fireworks show where boaters are invited to decorate their boats and follow a steamboat around the perimeter of the lake as people on shore cheer and celebrate the occasion. Water fights often ensue, as boaters and people on shore throw water balloons or shoot water guns at each other. It's a raucous occasion and a lot of fun. The fireworks display typically last about 15-20 minutes, depending on how many monetary donations the resort receives. This year's event was typical of previous years' events and lasted about 20 minutes.

My posted coordinates place you at a beach area where many visitors to the resort often camp out and watch the show. The fireworks can be viewed from anywhere along the shoreline around the lake. The fireworks are shot from a couple of docks that are boated out to the middle of the lake, so there really is no 'perfect' spot to view them.
