Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann (* 10. April 1755 in Meißen; † 2. Juli 1843 in Paris) war ein deutscher Arzt, medizinischer Schriftsteller und Übersetzer. Er ist der Begründer der Homöopathie.
Am 10. August 1851 wurde im Rahmen einer Tagung des Homöopathischen Central-Vereins ein Denkmal für Hahnemann in Leipzig enthüllt.
Das Denkmal befindet sich in den Grünanlagen des Promenadenrings südwestlich des Richard-Wagner-Platzes (bis 1913 »Theaterplatz«).
Die Bronzefigur, die den Arzt sitzend und schreibend darstellt, wurde nach einem Entwurf des Bildhauers F. W. Steinhäuser (1817-1903) in der Galvanoplastischen Anstalt E. Braun gegossen.
Der hohe Steinsockel aus schlesischem Marmor hat einen quadratischen Grundriss und trägt auf der Vorderseite (Westen) folgende Inschrift:

Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann (born April 10, 1755 in Meissen, † July 2, 1843 in Paris) was a German physician, medical writer and translator. He is the founder of the homeopathy.
On August 10th 1851 in Leipzig, a monument for Hahnemann was unveiled at a meeting of the Homeopathic Central Association.
The monument is located in the green areas of the Promenadenring southwest of the Richard-Wagner-Platz (till 1913 "Theatre Square").
The bronze figure representing the doctor sitting and writing, a design by the sculptor F. W. Steinhäuser (1817-1903); it was made in the galvanoplastic Institution E. Braun.
The high stone base made from Silesian marble has a square plan and carries on the front (west) following inscription (translated):
