In May 1974, a campaign to raise $200,000 to build a new church began.
Next, budget of $700,000 was approved to begin construction of the church and rectory on the parish grounds that was used as the school playground. Construction began in November 1975 and concluded in November 1976, with the church being dedicated November 28, 1976. A mortgage burning took place in 2005 in time for the parish's 100th anniversary.
