The stained glass in the East window and aisles of St Bega’s church is by Powell Bros of Leeds. The East window is dedicated to the memory of Thomas Stern Spedding (1800-1870) of the nearby Mirehouse. The aisle windows are dedicated to Edward and Margaret Spedding.
