This memorial plaque is set on a slab of rock in a small garden outside William Fogg Library in Eliot, ME.
The plaque has a small relief of men fighting near the top and reads:

TO THE MEN OF

WHO SERVED IN THE
WORLD WAR

(names of about 62 men)

'GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS
THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY.'
