Creston, unlike Cranbrook, above, was still going strong when we visited in March. The seniors were out tossing rocks at houses with a vengeance.

Another very active curling club, Creston boasts about 215 members at press time. Not relegated to the parking lot, like the curlers in Cranbrook, in Creston they have been invited inside and occupy part of the Creston and District Community Complex, which also houses their largest arena and a spiffy new aquatic centre.
For $20.00 per hour one can even rent a sheet and for $280 one may rent the lounge and bar all day.
