Almost a full block long, this mural highlights what life in a rural South Carolina town was like in 1923. It shows a plantation home, a shoe repair store, a "beer hall", a mercantile, a cafe (featuring Pepsi Cola), an outdoor peanut push cart, and a clothing store.

This work was the combined efforts of Shirley Davis, Dorothy Langley,
Nancy Goldman, and (Greenwood's own) Skip Shelton.
