Historical "HOTEL SUNFLOWER" Ghost sign as seen from NW 2nd Street.
"This hotel, when opened in the great depression year of 1931, offered a barber shop, beauty shop, coffee shop, gown shop, health parlor, postal & telegraph facilities, recreation parlor, sport shop, tailor shop, and taxi cabs. Dwight "Ike" Eisenhower stayed here in the 1950's & 1960's when he returned to his hometown for visits. Building is still being used as apartments with the lobby restored like it looked when it opened." (
