This little cemetery is the final resting place for several residents of the one time town of Bossburg, in Stevens County, WA

The cemetery is on the west side of Highway 25, just over 7 miles north of the little town of Marcus and 12.5 miles north of the junction of Highway 20/395 at Kettle Falls. There are 37 known graves in the cemetery, some of which are unmarked. The cemetery is set back off the road a hundred feet or more and is not easy to see from the Highway.
With some recent graves in the cemetery, it appears the cemetery is still in use, if only irregularly. The town of Bossburg itself, however, is long gone. Once a lead and silver mining town with a population of 800 or more, after about 1910 the town slowly dwindled to nothing.
