This citizen memorial is for John Karl Hosbach. It is located in downtown Henderson, KY. "Doc" as he was known, was also nicknamed "Mr Tennis" for his love of the sport.
The memorial, which features a near life-sized picture of Hosbach on his 3-wheeled trike, sits at the tennis courts on Water Street along side the Ohio River. The newly built tennis complex is named after Hosbach as well.
"Doc" passed away in 1988 at the age of 89 and this new memorial with his likeness will remind people for many years to come of the sports ambassador that Hosbach was in the city of Henderson!
