The centre-piece is a sculpture by British artist David Wynne from 1980, and is called "Five Swimmers Fountain". It depicts five female and male figures floating gracefully around each other and surrounded by the dancing fountains.
Staines-upon-Thames, commonly referred to simply as Staines, is a town on the River Thames in the borough of Spelthorne in Surrey, England. It is situated about 5 km from London Heathrow Airport.
I visited Staines while on a long stopover at Heathrow between Johannesburg and Montréal.
