In Elten, einer kleinen Stadt in der Nähe von Emmerich und an der Grenze zu den Niederlanden gibt es ein wahres Schmuckstück: die Gerritzens Mühle! Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde diese Mühle erbaut und ihr könnt sie schon von weitem mit ihren großen Flügeln sehen. In den letzten Jahren wurde sie aufwendig restauriert und renoviert, sodass sie heute wieder voll funktionsfähig ist. Jedes Wochenende (außer im Winter) wird hier noch Korn zu Mehl gemahlen und dann habt ihr auch die Möglichkeit, die Mühle zu besichtigen. Eigens für die Mühle wurde ein Verein gegründet, der nun die Mühle betreibt. Ein Ausflug zu der malerischen Gerritzens Mühle ist somit immer eine interessante Option!
This mill was built at the the end of the 19th century. In recent years it has been extensively restored and renovated, so it is fully operational again.
Every weekend (except in winter) grain is ground into flour and there is also the opportunity to visit the mill.
