The Williams-Payne house is an old relocated farmhouse, moved from the Dunwoody Road area of Atlanta, to this plot of land, bordered by the greenspace called Sandy Springs, which was originally a revival/campground for a Methodist Church. Today, the entire complex is a museum and recreation area and includes a museum, rose garden, tea house, plus some other old historic buildings, including and old milkhouse, and several gazebos.

It is also the location of an Eagle Scout project, completed by Scott Sternstein of Troop 406, in March 2007. The design complements the rustic location wonderfully.
