This water tower is in the city of Savoy, TX in Fannin county. It is off TX Rt. 56 (E. Hayes Street) near FM 1752 (S Water Street) in the center of town.
As of the census of 2000, there were 850 people, 305 households, and 214 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,176.0 people per square mile (455.8/km²). There were 350 housing units at an average density of 484.2 per square mile (187.7/km²). The population was 831 at the 2010 census.
The water tower sports a cardinal logo - the high school mascot. Savoy Independent School District is a public school district based in Savoy, Texas. In 2010, the school had approximately 320 students. In 2010, the school district was rated "Exemplary" by the Texas Education Agency. Savoy High School plays six-man football. The high school has been district UIL champions 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010.
