Bud's Service Station once stood at 504 W. 6th Street in nearby Stillwater. It was moved to this location about 2009 and since that time, the Cimarron Starlite Cruisers Car Club has done the lion's share of its renovation. This is a porcelain enamel-covered building, typical of stations in the 50's. This website (
visit link) has numerous photos of the building being relocated, its canopy installed, interior photos, and the completed restoration in early 2012.
Since that time, volunteers have been diligently working on restoring the electric and heating systems, and restoring the interior. Many people have donated items for the inside displays. Photos from the above website show these items in detail.
A current project now is constructing a gasoline pump island with vintage pumps.
A plaque on the station reads: "Circa 1957 / Bud's Service Station / 504 W. 6th Ave. - Stillwater, Oklahoma / moved and restored by a generous donation from / Bill & Virginia Sasser / in memory of / Thomas & Gladys Roberts".
