There is a date stamped into the concrete post on the south side of the west end of the bridge, at the end of the concrete railing. If one were to stand on the sidewalk in front of this date stamp, one would possibly be standing on this benchmark.

FALLS, GO WEST 3.5 MILES ALONG SR 395 TO BRIDGE OVER
FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT LAKE. IT IS LOCATED ON THE WEST
SIDE OF THE LAKE, IN THE WEST END OF HIGHWAY BRIDGE, 21
CM EAST OF THE WEST END OF THE SIDEWALK, 15 CM NORTH
OF THE BANISTER IN SIDEWALK. THE MARK IS A USC&GS
BRASS DISK CEMENTED INTO THE TOP OF THE SIDEWALK AND
FLUSH WITH ITS SURFACE AND SET 15 CM ABOVE THE
ROADWAY SURFACE
