This station is a NY Department of Transportation standard disk, located on the front lawn of the Patterson Town Hall. It is set in a concrete post, flush with the ground, and about 5-ft east from the flag pole:
THE STATION IS LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF PATTERSON IN THE VILLAGE OF
PATTERSON, PUTNAM COUNTY.
TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF NYS ROUTE 311 AND NYS
ROUTE 22 GO WEST ON NYS ROUTE 311 FOR 1.1 KM (0.7 MI) AND THE STATION
WILL BE ON YOUR RIGHT. IT IS IN THE SOUTH END OF THE PATTERSON TOWN
HALL PROPERTY.
THE STATION IS AN ALUMINUM DISK 15.50 M (50.9 FT) NORTHERLY OF THE
EDGE OF PAVEMENT FOR NYS ROUTE 311, 12.40 M (40.7 FT) SOUTHEASTERLY OF
THE SOUTHEASTERLY CONCRETE BLOCK CORNER OF THE PATTERSON TOWN HALL
BUILDING, 16.70 M (54.8 FT) NORTHWESTERLY OF A UTILITY POLE NUMBERED
NYSEG 231-270-80A BELL ATLANTIC 3-1/2, 25.10 M (82.3 FT) WESTERLY OF
THE WESTERLY RAIL OF THE METRO-NORTH RAIL LINE, AND 1.60 M (5.2 FT)
EASTERLY OF A FLAG POLE.
Because this station was monumented fairly recently, it is not loggable in Geocaching, even though it has a NGS PID. However, the description is thorough, and locating this mark is relatively easy. Park across the street from the Town Hall, or park at the rear of the Town Hall. This area tends to be busy, watch out for traffic.
