The Monroe Riverwalk is a recreational trail that follows the historic River Raisin in downtown Monroe, Michigan. The Martin Luther King Jr. Footbridge connects Soldiers and Sailors Park to St. Mary’s Park, where people can spend time enjoying the many activities offered there. At the foot of the bridge in St. Mary's Park is this plaque erected by the Martin Luther King Memmorial Committee :
