DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1933 (GLA) THIS STATION IS THE TIP OF THE STONE MONUMENT NEAR THE NW CORNER OF THE NATIONAL CEMETERY AT FORT MOTT. THE MONUMENT IS ON A DIRT MOUND ABOUT 6 FEET HIGH. THE STONE FOUNDATION OF THE MONUMENT IS ABOUT 20 FEET SQUARE. THE MONUMENT IS SQUARE AND IS CONSTRUCTED OF ROUGH CUT STONE. EACH STONE IS ABOUT 10 INCHES THICK BUT DECREASING IN WIDTH FROM BOTTOM TO TOP GIVING THE MONUMENT ABOUT 6 INCHES BATTER. THE TOP STONE IS POINTED AT THE TOP. THE MONUMENT IS ABOUT 40 FEET HIGH.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1975 (RST) THE STATION WAS RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION IS ADEQUATE FOR FUTURE RECOVERY.
