Oringinally named Grace Episcopal Church, it was named to its present to honor Robert E Lee. The Church is located right next to William and Lee University and a stone throw from the Lee Chapel. Robert E Lee attended services at the church which is no longer standing. The current church was erected after Lee's death in 1870.
