Also known as Old Barracks, located on the campus of the Virginia Military Institute. They were designed by Alexander Jackson Davis and built in 1848. They were declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965. The Barracks are a Gothic style building consisting of 2 connecting quadrangles, extending some 500 feet along the east side of the massive parade grounds.
