H o e l l e is located in the Franconian Forest between Bad Steben and Naila. The river in it - Selbitz - has a lenght of about 41 Kilometers and flows from south to north into the Saale. I have no idea where the name comes from. The Name may be occured from some old local legend but I could not find any additional information yet. Geocache unfar about 200 m distance available.
Hoelle is the German name for Hell and is in fact a devilish location!
