Im November 1944 brannte die Kirche nach einem Bombenangriff aus. Vom Architekten Fritz Hain sen. wurde sie in schlichterer Form wieder aufgebaut.

Die Anscharkirche ist eine evangelische Kirche in Neumünster. Die nach dem Bischof Ansgar benannte Kirche steht in der Christianstraße und wurde 1913 als zweite große evangelische Kirche der Stadt eingeweiht. Der Bau stammt vom Architekten Hans Roß, der das Projekt von der städtebaulichen Anordnung bis zum letzten Detail plante. Die Anscharkirche ist Pfarrkirche der evangelisch-lutherischen Anschar-Kirchengemeinde.

The Anscharkirche is a Protestant church in Neumünster. Named after the Bishop Ansgar church stands in the Christian Street and was opened in 1913 as the second largest Protestant church in the city. The construction was by architect Hans Ross, who planned the project from the urban arrangement to the last detail. Anscharkirche is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Anschar community.
