I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey RESET benchmark from 1962 in good condition. It replaces an NGS pipe cap from 1908 (PID NZ0006) which was apparently destroyed.

The benchmark has the stamping of 'BBU 1908 RESET 1962' on the disk face. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

NGS datasheet from PID NZ0006 used for to-reach:

DESCRIBED BY US GEOLOGICAL SURVEY 1908 4.4 MI SE FROM ANNIE SPRINGS. 4.4 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG THE CRATER LAKE HIGHWAY (OREGON 62) FROM ANNIE SPRINGS, KLAMATH COUNTY, AT THE SOUTH END OF A 300-FOOT TANGENT, 725 FEET NORTH OF THE JUNCTION OF A ROAD LEADING WEST TO A SMALL BUILDING UNDER A CLIFF, 4 FEET WEST OF A 20-INCH PINE TREE, AND 25 FEET SOUTH OF THE HIGHWAY. A UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY STANDARD CAP, STAMPED 5508.211 BB U 1908 AND RIVETED ON THE TOP OF A 3-1/2-INCH IRON PIPE SET IN CONCRETE AND PROJECTING 10 INCHES ABOVE GROUND.
