Here is a not uncommon sight - a pair of lions guarding the entrance to someone's castle.

This pair of brilliant white lions are mounted on either side of the entrance to an acreage in the Ootischenia area of Castlegar. They are perched atop stone gate posts buttressed by small stone fence segments.
The acreage is on Prairie Road, off Columbia Road, which runs south off Highway 3 directly south of the Castlegar Airport. This is east of the Columbia River, across the river from the City of Castlegar itself.
