Located at the site where Washington was sworn in as America's first President, this brass relief panel depicts Washington praying at Valley Forge. His hat lies on the ground. A tree and his horse are in the background. An inscription reads:

"WASHINGTON AT VALLEY FORGE
PRESENTED-BY-LAFAYETTE-POST-NO.-140-DEPARTMENT-OF-NEW-YORK-C.A.R.
FEBRUARY 22nd, 1907."
